George Gardner believed that the witches religion was dying, he started to put it back together and added new ideas to his own religion which became the Gardnerian wicca. When he made Garnerian Wicca he wrote a book called "The Truth About Witchcraft." Witches were sworn to secrecy that they could not tell their secrets, but since he made his own religion of withcraft he wasn't bound to those rules. When his book got out more people became interested in Witches and people started saying that witchcraft was the fastest growing religion in America.
Garnerians, just like other witches believe that all gods exsist (ex. Zeus, Aphrodite, Mother nature, etc.) but they like to focus more on two of them. The Great Mother (Mother Nature) and the Horned God.
The Great Mother:
Also known as Mother nature, she is the one that they believe created the universe. The Horned God is the Lord of the Dead and the Underworld.
Beliefs:
One belief is that if they are faithful to the gods, they will be reborn among the people they love so they will be able to meet them once again. If they aren't faithful they will be reborn around people they don't know. Another belief is that they can choose they're parents as long as they learn a new lesson, and be a better person. A questionb that is most commonly asked to students of the Garnderian wicca is "Why did you choose your parents?"

The name Alexandrian Wicca came from his first name Alex, and the library of Alexandria, which is one of the first Libraries in the world. It was also chosen when one of Sanders students was writing a book called, "What Witches Do."
This form of Wicca focuses on the gender differences of the things they use in magic, and the deities (Gods/Goddesses) switch between Garnderian tradition and the Alexandrian tradition. Maxine Sanders likes using the quote, "If it works, use it."
